Dear CII Members,

After being selected, I am absolutely thrilled to share that I have stepped now into the role of President of The Insurance Institute of Ipswich, Suffolk & North Essex following our AGM. 

Taking over the reins from our excellent President, Oliver Watson DIP CII. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Oliver for his outstanding leadership throughout the 2024/25 year. His catching energy, dedication, and inspiration, particularly in raising a remarkable sum for Suffolk Mind through CII events, running a marathon and skydiving, have set a high standard for us all.

Having been an active member of the Council for six years, it’s an incredible honour to now be leading as the youngest female President of Ipswich CII — something of which I’m very proud. Of course this can only be achieved with the great support of our fantastic Council Members. 

I am particularly passionate about my Presidential Theme for this year: Inclusion. We will spotlight important topics such as neurodiversity in the insurance sector, understanding ADHD in the workplace, addressing the gender pay gap, and supporting LGBTQ+ inclusivity in professional spaces. Please feel free to contact me if you have any Inclusion topics you would like to be considered this year.

Proud to announce that our chosen charity for the year is Cancer Support Suffolk, a cause close to my heart due to its impact on my own family. The charity plays a vital role in helping individuals before, during, and after cancer treatment through education, non-clinical therapies, and safe, welcoming wellbeing workshops. We will be holding events to raise funds in aid of Cancer Support Suffolk and hold a session on how you can spot cancer.

I’m especially looking forward to have Dave Hamer Dip CII as Deputy President working alongside me— he’s already bringing brilliant ideas to the table and no doubt will play a big part in what’s shaping up to be an amazing year 🥳✨🤩
