President's Message - February 2019

What a difference a year makes. This time last year I was working in a hot and sultry Mumbai whilst at home it was cold and windy as the U.K braced itself for the “Beast from the East”. Here in 2019, I am not travelling to Mumbai until mid-March and whilst writing this message, it is bright and sunny and unseasonably warm here in Suffolk.

We had a full house on Tuesday 22nd January when members of our institute turned out in full force at our Colchester venue to attend our 'Vulnerable Customers' lunchtime lecture. Alan’s talk was extremely engaging, explaining who might be considered a vulnerable person and providing ideas and guidance for ways to ensure they are treated equally and fairly. There was some insight as to what we might expect for the future and we all left with a feeling that we need to act now to be prepared! The slides from the event are attached here.
