President's Message

Welcome to The Insurance Institute of Hull. 

I am proud to by appointed as President of The Insurance Institute of Hull. The Institute has a rich legacy dating back 109 years and I am delighted to be a part of it.

I look forward to working with Council and all our Members over the next 12 months and also continuing the tremendous work done by Gary Porter, the outgoing President and all other members of the outgoing council.

Given the issues caused by not being able to hold any face to face events, my priority for this year is to improve communications between the Institute and our Members and begin to rebuild our social and CPD calendars.

The Hull Institute is only here to support our Members and we cannot do this without ongoing dialogue and your input.   Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me directly if there is anything specifically you would like us to offer.

We have aligned ourselves with Hull Young Professionals to enable us to offer general business network opportunities to insurance apprentices in the area as well as our younger Members and more on this work will follow.

We are also building links with other Professionals and businesses in the area and details of this work will be communicated in due course.

My first year as President will kick off with our Speed Quiz quickly followed by our Dinner which this year is being held at The Deep on Friday 10th June 2022, followed by a disco.   Attendees had better look out their dancing shoes!

There are a number of exciting events in the pipeline so please make sure your correct email address is lodged with the CII to ensure you don't miss out.
