1:00 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)

Studying towards your Advanced Diploma? Recently qualified and keen to help others achieve the same? Join us on 2 December to find out more!

Our Qualification Mentoring Scheme will soon be entering the second year of a pilot phase and we will shortly be recruiting new Mentees and 'Buddy Mentors'.

Studying can be a lonely and confusing experience. It can be daunting to study on top of a busy job and active social life. Some find the array of subjects confusing when it comes to deciding the order in which to take them. Others find the step up from Cert CII Dip CII bigger than they were expecting. Members can struggle due to lack of employer support. This scheme aims to give Mentees motivation, via a peer group, led by a Buddy Mentor - someone who has recently qualified themselves so has fresh first-hand experience of the challenges faced.

Don't miss this opportunity to find out more about the scheme from those in the know, including:

  • Stuart Clarke FCII, Chair, Qualification Mentoring Committee (Head of Claims, Hiscox)
  • Sian Fisher ACII, CEO, Chartered Insurance Institute
  • Tabitha Pike ACII, Buddy Mentor (Underwriter, Hiscox)
  • Charlie Heathcote Dip CII, Mentee (Risk Executive, Lloyd's)

The scheme programme includes five educational, motivational and social events a year, some of which will provide networking opportunities with our 'Advocate Mentors' who all hold very senior positions in the market. 32 Mentee places and 8-10 Buddy Mentor places are available. Participants must be members of the Insurance Institute of London and committed for a three year period. During the initial pilot phase, there is no charge to participate.
