What is the one thing that you could do today that would make the world a better place for both men and women? We all have the ability to make small changes that, taken together, could make a difference in our business lives, our home lives and in wider society.

Insuring Women's Futures - a programme established by the CII with Sian Fisher ACII (CEO, CII) as Chair and Inga Beale ACII (CEO, Lloyd's) as Patron - aims to ensure that the insurance profession responds equally to both men and women in society, both as customers and as employees.

HeForShe was launched by Emma Watson as Ambassador for UN Women. It is about making simple short personal pledges, that we can all do, which inspire others to join the conversation and show support for gender parity, making all of our lives more inclusive.

Dominic Christian (CEO, Aon UK & President, IIL) and Russell Higginbotham FCII (Head of Life & Health Reinsurance Products, Swiss Re & President Elect, IIL) will be joined by guest speaker Laura Haynes (Chair, UN Women National Committee UK), the Insurance Women's Futures Committee, as well as Huw Evans (Director General, ABI) in sharing their own personal pledges and explaining what HeForShe means to them personally.

This isn't an event just for women - in fact, HeForShe was created by UN Women specifically to give men a voice and a platform to promote positive change on behalf of women as well as encouraging women to support men in themselves achieving equality. Why not encourage a member of the opposite sex to come along with you to help ensure a balance that reflects what we want to achieve for both wider society and our profession?

We are the first profession to launch a HeForShe campaign collectively, so join us in making a little bit of history.
