In insurance and financial services, we are so often called upon to demonstrate high levels of compassion in a whole range of different scenarios. n this session, we will examine how compassion fatigue can manifest itself and then learn a strategy to ensure that we and our colleagues do not become a victim to this silent, but very serious, risk to our health.

Certificate in Insurance IF1 Training Day 2025
The Insurance Institute of Guernsey is holding an IF1 training provided by trainer Alan Chandler for those studying the certificate in insurance at Les Cotils on Thursday, 18 September 2025 from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Alan will guide you through all the IF1 content during the day and will use his experience and enthusiastic presenting style to create relevant plain English examples to equip all the delegates to pass IF1.

IIG Go-Karting Endurance Race 2025
The Insurance Institute of Guernsey would be delighted to welcome you and your colleagues to a corporate karting endurance race, which is scheduled to take place on Friday 30 May 2025. We encourage teams of 3 to 4 racers to sign up, wherein each racer will then get to contribute 15-20 minutes of pedal-to-the-metal action for the glory of their team!

Insurance Institute of Guernsey Annual Quiz 2024
The annual quiz night will be held on Thursday 3rd April 2025 at St Pierre Park Hotel, starting at 6.30pm prompt.
We have been able to keep the cost the same as last year with Entry fees at £24 per person (in teams of 6) to include a Ploughman’s Supper.
A raffle will be held while the final scores are being counted with proceeds going to Easy Do and the Insurance Charities.
Any donations for the raffle would be greatly appreciated and confirmation of raffle donations should be emailed to Samantha.Tostevin@Hepburns.gg with your team’s name along with any dietary or special requirements by Friday 13th March 2025.
As this event is almost always oversubscribed places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

IIG Morning Development Day
The Insurance Institute of Guernsey is holding a Development Day Morning hosted by Jeff Heasman at Les Cotils on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025.
There have been a number of Court of Appeal and Supreme Court decisions over the past couple of years that have significantly impacted the way that we should be working within insurance and financial services. Recent insurance fraud statistics from various sources have also revealed some very interesting (and in some cases, worrying) trends. Join us on 2 April 2025 for Breakfast at Les Cotils from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm for three sessions delivered by internationally renowned expert and trainer, Jeff Heasman (Insurance Upskill) as we examine these recent court judgments and gain insight into current insurance fraud trends.
