President's Message

Welcome to the Insurance and Actuarial Society of Glasgow (IASG) website. We are very proud to be one of the largest institutes in the UK, with over 4000 members and a history spanning more than 140 years.

Please take a look around the website to find out more about what your institute does for you and the range of local benefits we offer, from CPD seminars (virtual & face-to-face!), support for CII examinations through our very successful “Fast-Track” programmes, mentoring and networking events to name just a few! 

I am delighted and honoured to be elected President of this wonderful institution, I very much hope to continue the high standards set of those who have served in this role previously.

I would also like to take this opportunity to personally say a huge thank you to all of the council members, past and present, for their significant contribution to the success of the IASG. The dedication and hard-work of those involved in our local committees is very impressive, particularly in a world where finding any spare time is increasing challenging!

In addition to the wide programme of technical and soft skills training available, we will also be able to provide more social and networking opportunities through this year and hope to see our members, old and new, support and take advantage of these events.
