CPD Webinar - Techniques for Handling Difficult Conversations

As a manager or leader, some of the hardest parts of the job can be difficult conversations with team members. This workshop focuses on empowering you to confidently support your teams' mental health and wellbeing, and initiate and handle challenging conversations.

Through group discussion, activities and exercises, attendees will develop techniques they can use when faced with difficult conversations, to ensure they can manage their teams effectively and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.

Session Objectives

By the end of this webinar, participants should be able to:

  • Approach difficult conversations in the workplace more confidently and effectively
  • Explain some of the barriers to open communication
  • Apply at least three strategies to create a positive and supportive workplace culture

Speaker bio

Jay Unwin

A decade of experience in health, fitness and wellbeing. A former career in science education Jay has developed a mental and physical fitness philosophy to rebuild the strength of his body and mind, and to avoid slipping back down ever again.

Jay's teaching & philosophy is all pinned on a few central tenets: accessibility, adaptability and efficiency. Jay's mission is quite simple: to help as many people as possible improve their overall quality of life, through improved mental and physical fitness
