Cybersecurity Breakfast Seminar
Please join DLA Piper for its inaugural cybersecurity breakfast seminar session for the Insurance Society of Edinburgh on 26 February 2024. Link Scotland Launch Event
Join us at the Street as we launch Link Scotland. This is being held as a joint event with the ISE, the local Edinburgh institute of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). CII Golf Day

CPD - Dealing with Vulnerable Clients
Vulnerability has become an important topic for any firm offering professional advice to individuals who may, as a result of their personal circumstances, be particularly disadvantaged when making key financial decisions. Thanks to the FCA and others, there is a reasonable supply of guidance with regard to the characteristics of vulnerability, and the impact . What is less clear is what exactly we are supposed to do when we have identified a potential problem. How do we record it, what can and can’t we say to the client and/or their families and what documentation should be in place both before and after vulnerability has been identified. The session will have a focus on Scots Law and FCA regulation but will be of interest to any one dealing with clients at a firm or individual level.
