Everyone has a brand. It affects everything at work – from how receptive people are to your ideas to your chances of promotion. Your brand has two dimensions – your self-definition (your own sense of who you are and what value you bring] and the compilation of the perceptions (based on all kinds of data) held about you by others. Brand management involves making sure your intentions and the reality of your brand to others are aligned

Content and Learning

• Gain clarity on the impact delegates would like to make in certain contexts
• Use a simple strategy for gathering feedback to close any gap between their intention and reality
• Utilise 5 Ps framework to develop and manage personal brand:
o Persona - 4 main personality styles, participant strengths and overdone strengths
o Permission - mindset is a big driver of behaviour - how confident is the delegate? What, if anything, is getting in the way?
o Promotion - building a strong network to be as effective as possible (internal and external/face to face and online)
o Product - developing technical, leadership and human skills (this part is usually tailored to the company - e.g. how confident is the delegate talking about the proposition?)
o Packaging - ensuring delegate presentation is sending the right message so that it reinforces brand
