The risk posed by Lithium Batteries
Lithium-ion batteries were first mass-produced in the early 1990s. They are performing a key role in the move away from reliance upon fossil fuels however, there are different risks that using lithium to store energy present to property underwriters. This short workshop is designed to draw the underwriter’s and broker’s attention to these risks and why rating and wording alterations may be needed to counter this growing problem.
