Beer tasting seminar- Hops and Risk: what the evolution of beer teaches us about innovation in insurance
ABOUT THE EVENT
This fun and interactive session explores how centuries of brewing innovation, from monastic traditions to craft revolutions, mirror the forces reshaping the insurance industry today.
By tasting 5 different beers, we will analyse how brewers have responded to cultural shifts, technology, regulation, and consumer demands and what insurance professionals can take as valuable lessons for designing resilient, customer-centric innovations.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
➢ identify key parallels between the evolution of the brewing industry and innovation trends in the insurance sector.
➢ explain how successful brewers have navigated regulation, technology, and customer expectations and how these lessons apply to driving meaningful change within insurance organizations.
➢ implement a strategy for fostering innovation in insurance using insights drawn from the brewing industry's approaches to experimentation, branding, and risk management.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Jeff Heasman is a well-known and highly experienced international trainer who specialises in law and communication within the insurance and financial services industry. In addition, Jeff has a passion for Spanish and Portuguese wines. Jeff has a tasting shop inside the fortress walls of Valenca do Minho in Portugal and through his businesses based in Spain and Portugal (Saboromas) he offers cultural and wine tasting events and vineyard tours, with a particular focus on the culture, food and wines of Galicia, Spain and the Vinho Verde region of Portugal. Jeff has a bachelors and masters degree in law, he holds a postgraduate English language teaching qualification and has obtained a certificate in wines from the prestigious Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) as well as being a member of the Society of Wine Educators. Jeff´s knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry combined with a passion for both effective communication and wine makes this a fun and entertaining CPD session with a difference.
The beers will be served with pizzas supplied by Zerodegrees.

The event will be held in the mezzanine bar -The Tank Lounge. There is lift access to the mezzanine level and the venue has accessible facilities on the ground floor. There is an alternative entrance in Gun Street and a step lift is provided from the raised bar area there into the ground floor bar area.
NB Attendees will be able to adjourn to the ground floor bar when the event concludes, where they will be able to purchase beers and food. The bar on the ground floor is a cash/card bar
