Visits
The following visits have been arranged to provide CII members with opportunities to view a wide range of industrial, commercial and other organisations and to see for themselves some of the insurance, safety and fire risks, and liabilities inherent in a variety of businesses and other activities. Experienced members may broaden their insurance knowledge, whilst younger members will gain a practical appreciation to complement their more theoretical training for CII examinations.
Visits usually consist of an on-site briefing and a conducted tour of the premises. They generally conclude with an opportunity to speak to the staff and a discussion with the risk manager, insurance manager or safety officer.
Attendance on visits is recognised by the CII as contributing to continuing professional development and, where it assists a member's development needs, each visit qualifies for up to 15 credits in the CII / PFS CPD scheme.
While priority on London Institute visits will be accorded to London members, applications will be accepted from any member of the CII wishing to be included.
There will be a £15.00 fee for all visits. Please note, visit fees are non-refundable if cancelled.
Please note that these visits are available to CII members only. Click here to apply for membership.
