Insurance Institute of London member Julian James ACII, CII President for 2011/12, has chosen "The Next Generation of Talent" as the theme for his year in office.

As the CII celebrates a century of being a Chartered Body in 2012, it is also important to look to the future.  Talented people are the lifeblood of insurance and financial services, and being able to attract and cultivate them is esssential to growth.  While good progress is being made within the sector, the overall perception from the outside remains mixed, particularly among those considering our profession as a career.

We need to take coordinated action to address this, and the CII's Charter Centenary is a perfect backdrop for 'The Next Generation of Talent' Manifesto.  Julian calls on the profession to support the building and nurturing of our leaders for the next century.
